First Look

The Nova was Chevy's second attempt at a compact car, after the unconventional Corvair. By 1969 it could be had in flavors ranging from a plain-vanilla, economy car to a tire-burning, gas-guzzling performance vehicle. Extremely popular in its day, it has also been the subject of a number of model kits. Revell has just issued an all-new kit of this vehicle.

The box advertises two versions: stock and drag. For the stock version, you get all the expected bits and pieces, including a nice-looking set of Chevy rally wheels and a 23-piece 350 V-8 engine. Optional parts for the drag version include a hood, roll bar, Hurst shifter, a pair of slicks for the rear wheels plus four racing rims, traction bars and risers for the rear suspension, and for the engine, dual carbs and a very nice set of racing headers.
